The collection documents staffing, budgeting, and research; admissions and enrollments; and activities of the Graduate School research centers, including the Center for Great Lakes Studies, the Great Lakes Research Facility, the Center for Twentieth Century Studies, the Center for Women's Studies, the Laboratory for Surface Studies, the Urban Research Center, and the UW System Institute on Race and Ethnicity and its predecessor, the Center for the Study of Minorities and Disadvantaged Students. Materials documenting the activities of the Office of Industrial Research and Technology Transfer, the Office of International Studies and Programs, and the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs are also included.
